More photo's from Turkey Run State Park

Here are a few photos from my last trip to Turkey Run State Park.

Wedge Rock

These stairs were cut in the side of the canyon to help hikers get past the flowing water when it gets too high.

I like photographing textures, lines and curves, and contrasts between light and dark. This next photo is a texture shot. I think it qualifies as "Minimalist Photography". I have been taking pictures like this before I knew it was a category of photography style. I think this is something I would like to pursue more. I am still looking for my "voice" in photography.

Tree bark

This steel cable is part of the suspension bridge that spans Sugar Creek.

Flowing Water

I traveled to Turkey Run State Park this past weekend. With the recent rain and melting snow I was hoping to get some photo's of water flowing through the canyons. That is exactly what I found. This was a good trip and I am happy with the quality of these photo's. I hope you enjoy them as much I do.

The Wabash is overflowing again

The Wabash River is overflowing again due to some heavy rain we had a few days before the weekend. So I was not able to hike the trails because they were under water. After the weekend the Wabash started to go back down, but it rain some more and it is going backup up. It is supposed to peak in the the next couple of days. More likely the hiking trails will still be under water this weekend as well.

I was able to take a few interesting shots around the bridges this weekend. But first here are a few photo's from the week before.

And now some photo's from last weekend. I was walking along and under the three bridges that pass over the Wabash in the downtown area.
